30 weeks

Adam and I got an early Christmas present....a 3d/4d ultrasound on Tuesday! It was amazing, I cannot believe how great of detail we can see our precious baby! I of course already think he is a doll, and think it's AMAZING how much he already looks like his Daddy!!!!

His precious profile....he has Mommy's cheek bones and that's about it!

He started pouting, and it was the sweetest/saddest thing I have ever seen!! Look at that nose....it is identical to Adam's.

I cannot wait to meet this little baby, hold him in my arms, and squeeze those cheeks!!
He is going to be the best Christmas present ever....bummed I have to wait a few more weeks to "open him up."

Welcome Fall, Goodbye Fall!

I have a few fall decorations, not much. I decorated back right before Halloween....we don't decorate for Halloween, just fall, so here it is. Thought I would document it right before I take it down to put up our Christmas stuff....can't believe how fast this year is going!

Our front door, wreaths, fall cafe curtains, and my favorite...topiary pumpkins!!

Gathered pine cones inside the lantern on our kitchen table. Looking at this picture I can tell our table needs to be waxed or something, its looking awfully beat up!!!

On top of our kitchen bookshelves....candy corn in apothacary jars, mmmmmm!! My cute little Thanksgiving turkey, and a mini pumpkin topiary.

And my favorite! I just love these little signs, and as a pregnant girl I am for sure going to keep gobbling :) Sadly I will be gobbling until spring.

Happy Fall Ya'll

It's a BOY!

I am a terrible blogger.........we have know Mr. Man is on his way for over 6 weeks now! eek....but I thought I would update the blog about it.
He is getting super big already, and so am I. Can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going...before I know it I will be dropping him off at college. I can't believe how much I already love him, I find myself anxiously awaiting his arrival, I just want to snuggle him up and squeeze his cheeks!

He has his daddy's feet, Adam's second toe is longer than his big toe, and so does the baby! They also told us he has big feet, big belly, and a big head. Adam's response "story checks out, he's mine!" Oh that boy, he keeps me on my toes! I'm only guessing that soon I will have TWO boys that keep my on my toes.

I sneezed during the ultrasound, and he covered his ears!! It was so sweet, I knew I was a loud sneezer, but I didn't realize it was driving my baby crazy already!!! They kept switching from 3D to 4D, this picture is taken during the 4D part.

Destin

We have had the BEST week in Destin with the Joyner's!! Went to the beach a few times, swam, shopped, and the kids even jet skied and boated. Here's some pic's I took at the beach!

Annabel on the boogie board

Can't believe how big they all are.

Taylor built herself a little lounge chair out of sand....such a princess on her throne!

Bennett

Andy and Adam built themselves a serious sand castle, they were so proud.

William

And this one is my favorite!! Taylor is such a little model.

Such a fun week. Can't wait to do it again.

Genetic's Counselor Visit

On Friday, Adam and I went to the genetics counselor. We were referred to this doctor because Adam has a first cousin who has Down Syndrome. Our doctor asked us if we wanted to run a bunch of tests to determine if the baby was down, and we opted not to. If we found out for some reason the baby had Down Syndrome we would not abort, so what did it really matter if we knew?! So instead she suggested going to see the genetics counselor they can determine a lot of issues with their fancy ultrasound machines. Dr. W wanted to be as prepared as possible if there was something to be prepared for.
Our appointment went great, they took some blood, some information, and then it was movie time. The doctors office was awesome, I got to sit in a fancy recliner/bed type thing, and on the wall in front of me, a GIANT flat screen to watch everything. The ultrasound lasted about 30 minutes, here are some of the highlights!

The doctor told us that everything looked perfect, so perfect in fact he printed out several pictures for himself and said he was going to use them for the recertification board on their machines! Of course that thrilled us and made us feel like our baby is already some kind of genius!! Can't believe we have to wait until March to meet this little nugget baby...can't wait!

We're Pregnant!

It's true, super exciting news for the Toler's!
March 3rd, hopefully.....there will be a new baby in OUR HOUSE! Love it. I found out the day before Father's Day, so I had to keep the secret all day, and on Sunday morning, Father's Day, I broke the news to Adam. Here's how the convo went...

Me: Guess What?
Adam: What??
Me: You're going to be a Daddy, Happy Father's Day!
Adam: No way! I Don't believe you...

I get the pregnancy test, and the box so he can verify and hand it over,
here was his face...

After looking at the test, then back to the box,
then back at the test I get this response

Adam: Well baby, I'm going to do the right thing. (he was smirking as he was saying this, like he had been planning that line for years)
Me: (Speechless)

Who responds like this? Adam, that's who! And that is one of the reasons I love him. We are almost 12 weeks, and have been to see our precious Dr. W two times. I am so lucky how much I love my doctor, she is awesome.
We go to a genetics counselor on Friday, hopefully I will have some pics of Baby to post then! I have already had an ultrasound, but we didn't get any pics to bring home, bummer. Only one baby (thank goodness), and everything looks great, we are blessed!

Gearing Up

I am mentally getting ready, Adam and I leave Tuesday morning for GEORGIA! We both are so excited to go. We are going to spend the first half of the week with Adam's Uncle and Aunt, who we both LOVE! Then Friday, we are going to drive up to my sister's. My brother and his family will be there too. I love that we all are going to get to be together!
The last two times has been because someone died, this time, not the case! We are so lucky to have such awesome family! We are going to have a blast celebrating the 4th of July, AND all of our birthdays!! Mine is first, 4 days later my brother's, and 4 days after that, Ashley's!!
All that to say, I've got to get us, the house, and the dogs ready for our trip. Precious Kristen will be coming to keep our babies...lots to do, better get started!

magic rice

unbelievable!
Sunday night, we went swimming and fishing with some of our great friends.
While fishing, Beckham (my favorite 2 year old) picked up my camera and threw in into the pond.

Adam ran in to be my hero, after about 10 minutes of looking he found it.
We quickly ran inside and dropped it into a bucket of rice.
Two days later, it WORKS!

The Kind Diet/Life

Picked up a this book today at Borders. The rain kept me away from the pool so to the bookstore I went.
My Dad recently went vegan, for his diabetes, and has had amazing results. His blood sugar numbers have all improved, not to mention weight loss, skin improvements, and overall higher levels of energy. My Dad has always been a meat eater and dairy consumer. So when I heard he was going vegan it was hard to believe, but only a few weeks later, huge improvements!
I watched Alicia on Oprah back in January and was interested in her book, so I finally picked it up. After reading about how our meat is treated, slaughtered, and then it's cleanliness by the time we get it, I was disgusted! Seriously! Meat does not sound good!
There are so many benefits to going vegan, and I have seen it work for my Dad.....
So for now, I'm tossing around the idea....and I will be visiting Akin's this week! Wishing Whole Foods was already built, Can't wait!

Rain

Bleh.....it's raining! Meaning it will probably be a crummy day! I am always happiest with a giant dose of vitamin D. Seriously.

Even my rockers look sad, they like sunshine too!!

Surprise Birthday Party for my Mom

Friday, Adam and I drove to Texas to throw a surprise birthday party for my Mom. Regardless of what she says.....she was surprised!!

However, getting to this moment wasn't the easiest for me......and therefore by proxy- Adam!
The whole trip from our house to the party was CRAZY! The traffic on 35 was gross, and we ended up taking back roads almost the whole way. I was not pumped about that, as most anyone who know me knows, I don't travel well by car!! After we finally arrive in the DFW area (might I add Friday at 5pm-ahhh Rush hour), we are so far behind schedule it wasn't even funny. We quickly go and get balloons, the cake I had pre-ordered, and flowers. The cake was WRONG, but I had to take what they had because there was literally NO time to fix it, and between the balloon store and the cake place, a giant $10 balloon burst in the car...I was quickly approaching my limit. When we headed to the restaurant, we only had about 10 minutes to get there and traffic was of course bumper to bumper. I am arranging a floral arrangement in the car, and one of the tulips breaks off, and that was it....the straw that broke the camel's back. I instantly turn into a toddler and let out a tantrum.....crying, and so frustrated that everything was "falling apart!" Magically, Adam got us there with time to spare and my Aunt Kim pulls up right by us, quickly helps us unload and set up the table inside. After everything was done and I had returned to the land where adults don't break down into crocodile tears, Aunt Kim pulls me aside and asks.....Um....are you pregnant, because your hormones are a little crazy!? I quickly assured her that I'm not preggo, and luckily within 15 minutes of people arriving I had forgotten everything that had been wrong and just enjoyed the party!

Family Picture, with Mom and Dad, Uncle Ken & Aunt Kim, my brother Bryan and his wife Joanna, Adam and me. We sure missed The Joyner's!

Happy Birthday Mom!
I Love You!!

Babies

Babies, Babies, Everywhere!
It seem's that this week has been consumed with babies. TWO of my friends have had their babies back to back this week, Baby Gracie and Baby Hatley. Then, today we found 10 babies just at our house....and NO! Not even one of them is in my belly.
Adam found a nest of baby duck eggs by our house, there are 9 eggs! This is so exciting, we always have baby ducks at Adam's parents, but never here. So exciting!

Then we turned around...and there he was. The tiniest baby turtle I have ever seen. I was trying to get a picture of him with my phone to text to a few of my favs, and I didn't have anything to set beside him to show how tiny he was, so I fipped off my flop, and before I knew it, the turtle had climbed up into my shoe and was basking in the shade of my shoe!

PRECIOUS! It really is the little things isn't it?

Oh Destin!

My precious, precious, precious Father-in-law & Mother-in-law just got a sweet place in Destin. They have the same love of the beach that I do....nothing beats lounging, with a great book or magazine, right next to the water! So last month, Adam and I, along with his mom went to decorate one of the three bedrooms. I had already ordered the furniture, and bought lots of accessories so that we could spend more time relaxing than working :) Here is a little tour.

Entry into the smallest of the three bedrooms. I made this sweet little hook system for wet swim suits and great beach bags!

Here is the closet, this room actually has none. So we added a great mirror and fun luggage stand, plus a great little shelf for shoes, and a spot to hang beach clothes!
This bedroom is the only one that doesn't have its own private bathroom. It uses the bathroom that is common for guests as well. So I thought what a great place to "get ready" at a mirrored vanity. Thus relieving a pile up in the bathroom. I can't wait to fix my hair and make up here!

Oh the bed! I am in LOVE with this headboard, and all the bedding is mix and match finds from TJMaxx, Ross, Marshalls, and HomeGoods! The cute little nightstand is an old dark pine nightstand that my In-laws bought a long time ago, a fresh coat of paint and new knobs made it Destin ready!

Here is the matching dresser from the nightstand. Again, fresh paint and hardware. I found this mirror at TJ and painted her up to match the coral sheets. All the art work in the room is the same, simple, and can't break! I went through my mother-in-laws extra stuff from a closet and found 4 frames with no backs or glass. Then I matted up some great burlap, and once we got to Destin went and bought some fun shells. A little bit of hot glue and silver spray paint instant art was born. So cute, and so easy!

Cannot believe that I'll be back there one week from tomorrow! My sister and I are taking her four kids down for their Spring Break! Its going to be a blast!

Dear Toler Town,

I'm sorry that I'm such a Terrible Blogger, I'll try to do better! However, I am not going to promise!
Lots of Love.

I should be packing......

Yes! Its so true, my calendar says GEORGIA on the 18th! That is tomorrow and I still haven't gotten my stuff together to go. NBD (no big deal) right? My flight only leaves in about ten hours. Oh well, I guess what I forget I will just have to "borrow" from my big sis' closet!!

I am so excited to go and see the Joyner's, but I am sure going to miss these three! Mack&Josey are always quick to support their dad while he plays (ahem...dominates) Call of Duty!

On Saturday, Adam and I went to the Thunder Game with our great friends, Adam & Emily! We had awesome seats (thanks Meek) and a great time! The best part was when my favorite, Katy Beth Olson texted me from across the arena, she had spotted me by my blue scarf. It was kinda weird, knowing she could see me and I had no clue where she was.....I finally spotter her though!

Hmm....and finally my token project of the week. I have tons of these IKEA baskets, and they are just a little to blonde for me....so I stained them with Van Dyke brown from Sherwin Williams....they turned out AWESOME!

Well off to pack!

Guilty Pleasure

I have a serious guilty pleasure....and it's hard, because it only lasts ten weeks of the year, and week one starts on SUNDAY NIGHT!
It is a new season of HBO's hit series BIG LOVE! It is by far my favorite drama. So intense. As most of you know I love me some mormons! I live less than one mile from the Oklhaoma City Temple, and as I drive by it everyday, curiosity ensues! They are wonderful people, such kind, generous, and caring group of believers. Studying their beliefs is one of my favorite pastimes, and to be honest their beliefs are somewhat romantic to me.....the idea of family, forever! The values they teach to their children, to be married for all time and eternity, bliss! However; not the case according to the word of God......

Marriage at the Resurrection
23That same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question. 24"Teacher," they said, "Moses told us that if a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and have children for him. 25Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children, he left his wife to his brother. 26The same thing happened to the second and third brother, right on down to the seventh. 27Finally, the woman died. 28Now then, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be of the seven, since all of them were married to her?"

29Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. 30At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. 31But about the resurrection of the dead—have you not read what God said to you, 32'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'a]">[a]? He is not the God of the dead but of the living."

33When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching.

Anyway.....didn't start this post to turn it into a religious debate....but just to announce my excitement for Sunday night! Can't wait to catch up with Bill, Barb, Nicki, Margie, and all the other Henrickson's! Looks like its going to be a crazy season!
