Babies

Babies, Babies, Everywhere!
It seem's that this week has been consumed with babies. TWO of my friends have had their babies back to back this week, Baby Gracie and Baby Hatley. Then, today we found 10 babies just at our house....and NO! Not even one of them is in my belly.
Adam found a nest of baby duck eggs by our house, there are 9 eggs! This is so exciting, we always have baby ducks at Adam's parents, but never here. So exciting!

Then we turned around...and there he was. The tiniest baby turtle I have ever seen. I was trying to get a picture of him with my phone to text to a few of my favs, and I didn't have anything to set beside him to show how tiny he was, so I fipped off my flop, and before I knew it, the turtle had climbed up into my shoe and was basking in the shade of my shoe!

PRECIOUS! It really is the little things isn't it?

Oh Destin!

My precious, precious, precious Father-in-law & Mother-in-law just got a sweet place in Destin. They have the same love of the beach that I do....nothing beats lounging, with a great book or magazine, right next to the water! So last month, Adam and I, along with his mom went to decorate one of the three bedrooms. I had already ordered the furniture, and bought lots of accessories so that we could spend more time relaxing than working :) Here is a little tour.

Entry into the smallest of the three bedrooms. I made this sweet little hook system for wet swim suits and great beach bags!

Here is the closet, this room actually has none. So we added a great mirror and fun luggage stand, plus a great little shelf for shoes, and a spot to hang beach clothes!
This bedroom is the only one that doesn't have its own private bathroom. It uses the bathroom that is common for guests as well. So I thought what a great place to "get ready" at a mirrored vanity. Thus relieving a pile up in the bathroom. I can't wait to fix my hair and make up here!

Oh the bed! I am in LOVE with this headboard, and all the bedding is mix and match finds from TJMaxx, Ross, Marshalls, and HomeGoods! The cute little nightstand is an old dark pine nightstand that my In-laws bought a long time ago, a fresh coat of paint and new knobs made it Destin ready!

Here is the matching dresser from the nightstand. Again, fresh paint and hardware. I found this mirror at TJ and painted her up to match the coral sheets. All the art work in the room is the same, simple, and can't break! I went through my mother-in-laws extra stuff from a closet and found 4 frames with no backs or glass. Then I matted up some great burlap, and once we got to Destin went and bought some fun shells. A little bit of hot glue and silver spray paint instant art was born. So cute, and so easy!

Cannot believe that I'll be back there one week from tomorrow! My sister and I are taking her four kids down for their Spring Break! Its going to be a blast!

Dear Toler Town,

I'm sorry that I'm such a Terrible Blogger, I'll try to do better! However, I am not going to promise!
Lots of Love.

I should be packing......

Yes! Its so true, my calendar says GEORGIA on the 18th! That is tomorrow and I still haven't gotten my stuff together to go. NBD (no big deal) right? My flight only leaves in about ten hours. Oh well, I guess what I forget I will just have to "borrow" from my big sis' closet!!

I am so excited to go and see the Joyner's, but I am sure going to miss these three! Mack&Josey are always quick to support their dad while he plays (ahem...dominates) Call of Duty!

On Saturday, Adam and I went to the Thunder Game with our great friends, Adam & Emily! We had awesome seats (thanks Meek) and a great time! The best part was when my favorite, Katy Beth Olson texted me from across the arena, she had spotted me by my blue scarf. It was kinda weird, knowing she could see me and I had no clue where she was.....I finally spotter her though!

Hmm....and finally my token project of the week. I have tons of these IKEA baskets, and they are just a little to blonde for me....so I stained them with Van Dyke brown from Sherwin Williams....they turned out AWESOME!

Well off to pack!

Guilty Pleasure

I have a serious guilty pleasure....and it's hard, because it only lasts ten weeks of the year, and week one starts on SUNDAY NIGHT!
It is a new season of HBO's hit series BIG LOVE! It is by far my favorite drama. So intense. As most of you know I love me some mormons! I live less than one mile from the Oklhaoma City Temple, and as I drive by it everyday, curiosity ensues! They are wonderful people, such kind, generous, and caring group of believers. Studying their beliefs is one of my favorite pastimes, and to be honest their beliefs are somewhat romantic to me.....the idea of family, forever! The values they teach to their children, to be married for all time and eternity, bliss! However; not the case according to the word of God......

Marriage at the Resurrection
23That same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question. 24"Teacher," they said, "Moses told us that if a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and have children for him. 25Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children, he left his wife to his brother. 26The same thing happened to the second and third brother, right on down to the seventh. 27Finally, the woman died. 28Now then, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be of the seven, since all of them were married to her?"

29Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. 30At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. 31But about the resurrection of the dead—have you not read what God said to you, 32'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'a]">[a]? He is not the God of the dead but of the living."

33When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching.

Anyway.....didn't start this post to turn it into a religious debate....but just to announce my excitement for Sunday night! Can't wait to catch up with Bill, Barb, Nicki, Margie, and all the other Henrickson's! Looks like its going to be a crazy season!
